Description
The latest Land Cruiser SUV is smaller than the model it replaced and shares its structure with the more powerful Lexus GX. A hybridized turbo four-cylinder is the sole powertrain available here, cranking out a welcome 326 horsepower and sending it to all four corners through a four-wheel-drive system that features low-range gearing for serious off-roading. The LC's reduced size and lower pricing put it in contention with dirt-friendly icons such as the Ford Bronco and the Jeep Wrangler. While the Yota's doors and roof aren't easily removable, that contributes to a more refined experience, especially on pavement. If you need a third row or more space, Toyota will sell you a Sequoia.
